Weather permitting, bring your four-legged friend or adopt one at this free family friendly event in Blasdell, New York on Saturday, November 22nd.
We’re going to go ahead and assume the stereotype that ‘because you’re vegetarian you also like animals’ to be true.
Because I love animals, especially rescued animals, I’ve got to pass along the details of this free event! Rescued animals tend to be the most loving, caring, and beautiful creatures on the planet. Except this little one. Apparently I adopted her–snot-nosed, alone, and bleary-eyed–too young because she has no idea how good she has it compared to how I found her.
Since you love animals, and because the family has cabin fever thanks to #snowvember #snowmageddon14 and #buffasnow, you’ll want to head over to Big Tree Volunteer Fire Co on 4307 S Park Ave Buffalo, NY 14219 (weather and conditions permitting, of course) for the Rally to Rescue Adoption and Pre Holiday Pet Expo.
This family friendly event is from 10 am to 5 pm and will have adoptions, basket raffles, a homemade bake goods sale, spin-to-win-wheel with a prize every time, a petting zoo, pony rides (again, weather permitting), and you can get pet pictures with Hubbard Photography! Please bring your four legged friends with a leash or in a carrier, depending on how you usually travel with them.
Messinger Woods will also be there with 5 live species of owls, animal communicator Rev. Alisa Parlette will be in attendance, and there will be presentations throughout the day. For food there are various food items, a cash bar, hot and cold beverages, and so much more.
Again, this is all depending on the weather. Blasdell is a bit of a mess right now, but hopefully with the National Guard and all our helpful neighbors pitching in, the streets will be clear and we’ll enjoy a beautiful day out!
