Favorite Juice Recipes

You’ve heard about juicing. Maybe you’ve even thought about making a juice recipe or two. Well, give juicing a shot with some of Vegetarian Buffalo’s favorite juicing recipes!

I started my juicing journey directly after watching the documentary Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead. I loved it and other people have really enjoyed it, so feel free to watch it on Netflix or HuluPlus.

Orange Juice

I didn’t begin with a juicer (I initially bought Naked juice smoothies–don’t do that), but after doing a juice cleanse both with and without, I will tell you my house will always have a juicer in it going forward. I love my juicer. I began in 2011 with a refurbished Juiceman I ordered from 1SaleaDay.com, but since then it’s been long discontinued so when it gave out, I replaced it with the Juiceman JM400 Juiceman Jr. 2-Speed Electric Juicer through Amazon (if you’re like me and totally cool with refurbished products, here’s the more affordable Juiceman Jr JM400 Fruit and Vegetable Juicer – (Certified Refurbished) link).

I’m pretty happy with this juicer. I don’t juice all the time, and I might be a little hard on the juicers, so they do the job. If you think you’ll be juicing all the time or if you’re making organic juices for children, I would definitely recommend dropping a little bit more money on something more heavy duty that going to hold up to that constant use, something like the Breville JE98XL Juice Fountain Plus 850-Watt Juice Extractor. Seriously. My little Juiceman is doing good, but I can definitely tell it is not made to last me a long time for intense use. Spend a little more now (on a new model) so if things break you can easily place an order for an affordable replacement part rather than having to purchase a whole new juice that’s going to break after a year or two.

Now that you have the equipment, let’s see some Juice Recipes!

Orange Juice

No joke. Simple, pure orange juice. I’ve noticed a distinct tangy, richer flavor from organic oranges, so I recommend them. As many as you want to juice, there’s nothing like a tall glass of delish OJ!

  • Oranges

Carrot-Apple Juice

I know, it sounds insane, but I swear by it. A work friend told me it’s her sons favorite juice and they drink it all the time. If 3 and 4 year olds were into it, I thought I would give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! Depending on whether you want it sweeter or more savory, move the quantities of carrots to apples around. Now it’s your turn:

  • 3 Red Apples
  • 4 Carrots

Strawberry Cider

Strawberry Cider

It’s sweet, natural Apple Juice meets Strawberries. It’s amazing and absolutely gorgeous!

  • 15 Strawberries
  • 5 Apples

Superskin Juice

Like me, you’ll come to discover that sweet potato is the unsung hero of juices. You have to try this simple Superskin Juice, just bear with me on the sweet potato.

  • 1 Orange
  • 1 Cup Pineapple
  • 1 Sweet Potato

Since I’ve burned out of the sweet juices (you actually do get quite sick of them after a few days) I prefer savory or tart juices, so that’s pretty much what you can expect going forward.

Metabolism Booster

This one comes from Juicing For Health and I found it on Pinterest. I can vouch for it; it’s pretty tasty and I don’t even like cucumbers or beets.

  • 2 Green Apples
  • 1 Small Cucumber
  • 1 Small Beet
  • 1/4 Lemon
  • 1/2 Inch Ginger

Looks pretty and tastes great!

  • 2 Oranges
  • 1 Beet
  • 4 Carrots

Hot Pink Beautifying Juice

Oh yeah babe. This is the stuff!

  • 2 Beets
  • 3 Carrots
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Inch Ginger
  • 5 Kale Leaves
  • 4 Stalks Celery

Sweet Potato Beet Delight

You have to try it to believe it!

  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 1 Beet
  • 1 Green Apple
  • 2 Strawberries
  • 1 Plum

Juice Collage

Anti-Inflammatory Drink

It has a bit of a bite with the pineapple and ginger, but I really like it all the same:

  • 2 Carrots
  • 1 Sweet Potato
  • 1/4 Small Pineapple
  • 1 Inch Ginger

Sweet & Sour

Definitely a fun one to end on for this juice recipes post:

  • 1 Beet
  • 1 Apple
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 Grapefruit
  • 1 Inch Ginger

Don’t stop here! Keep thinking up new ways you would like to mix and match your fruits and veggies. Carrots and Pineapple? Why, yes, that does sound amazing! Strawberries, Spinach, Kiwi, and Pineapple? Sure, why not? The possibilities are endless and if you ever get stuck, I recommend Pinterest. There are tons of great recipes there that will get your juices flowing. 😉

What are some of your favorite combinations?
