Join D’Youville College as they host their free 2nd Annual Food Fest on March 5th, 2015 at 6pm!
This isn’t just any old Food Fest: this 2nd Annual Food Fest is presented by the Student Dietetic Association (SDA), meaning this is the perfect opportunity to get those nutrition questions answered by undergrad and graduate students whose lives revolve around scientific studies of what we put in our bodies.
Admission is free and all events are kid friendly, so it’s a great opportunity to get the kiddos out of the house and interested in food!
The 2nd Annual Food Fest will include:
- Cooking/Juicing Demonstrations
- Food Contests
- Chili Sale (I checked; there will be a vegan option)
- Yogurt Parfait Bar
- Photo Booth
- Prize Raffles
- Nutrition Education
- Free Health Screen
Bonus: I’ll be there too, promoting Vegetarian Buffalo and selling copies of my book, A Taste for Belize!
I absolutely love this event because there will be booths dedicated to answering questions on vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free lifestyles, so if you’ve been thinking about giving any of these alternative eating lifestyles a shot, you want to be here. You’ll get straightforward answers to questions you might have with the sources to back them up!
The 2nd Annual Food Fest will be held at 6 pm in the D’Youville College Blue Lounge (in the College Center on Porter Ave). The event will close at 8 pm, in good time to get the little ones in bed for the following school day!
All proceeds from the prize raffles and chili sale will go to benefit the Massachusetts Avenue Project, a program that works towards promoting affordable, nutritious, and local food to the City of Buffalo.
Guests are welcome to drop in, but if you’d like to RSVP or have any additional questions, please go to the 2nd Annual Food Fest Facebook Page.
