Bring in 2016 with a New Years Eve in Downtown Buffalo!
One of our favorite vegetarian restaurants, Merge, will be hosting a New Years Eve special menu that gives vegans, vegetarians, and gluten free diners something to celebrate! The four course menu gives several options to choose from for all our alternative eaters. We’re talking stuffed mushrooms, butternut squash cashew bisque, beet stained ravioli, southwest black bean cakes, and agave chocolate mousse, and that’s just a taste of some of the options! For more, see the image to the right. Even your meat eaters are going to be excited about this one! You can book your NYE reservation through this Yelp booking link, however for parties of 10 or more they request that you call them directly at 716.842.0600.
CoCo Bar and Bistro
Another hot spot that makes for a sexy NYE out is Coco. Their menu is thinner on vegetarian options, but they are there nonetheless. In addition to beautiful exotic salads, they’ve brought back their quinoa crusted butternut squash, which, in case you haven’t tried it yet, I suggest you do–I’m a huge fan. Particularly since I can’t seem to get the bitterness out of quinoa to my liking and Coco can, so I’m impressed. Check out their menu below for the full selection. To make reservations, you can either book online at their website or call 716.885.1885.
Third and final on our list of vegetarian eats is Osteria 166 on Franklin Street. They too will have a NYE menu that will please plenty of palates! Burrata caprese with house-made mozzarella and lemon ricotta, Auntie Kim’s specialty pasta fagioli, and their unreal eggplant and sun-dried tomato ravioli will leave you in a happy and a healthy state! It should be noted, this isn’t a good stop for vegans, but vegetarians and pescatarians will be very, very pleased. Check out their New Year’s Eve Menu on their website where you can make a reservation, or call (716) 858-3118 to book your table.
