Another Fun Year at Taste of Buffalo!
Taste of Buffalo is a tradition every summer. Whether I post about it or not, I’m usually there. This year, 2017, I was out and about and was happy to see a few new stalls! I’m hoping they’ll be there again next year too.
Of course there were some old favorites: wine slushies, Paula’s, May Jen Chinese, and Caribbean Experience. Of course, each year restaurants bring back old favorites, but they also try out new things. This means there’s always a rotation and some restaurants don’t have vegetarian and vegan options that had them the year before, but others will. Here is the Taste of Buffalo 2017 finds I stumbled upon that I’m happy to share!
What I Ordered
Buffalo Cauliflower from Patina 250
Loved this! While I’ve always liked to make my own buffalo cauliflower, I can’t make it like this. Delicious!
Thai Cabbage Salad from Taste of Siam
Crispy, fresh, sweet, and a little tangy! I’ll be walking over to their location to try some more soon.
Eggplant Parmigiana from Amici Ristorante
Look, there was no way to make this look pretty, but it wouldn’t be on here if I wasn’t completely impressed by how good it tasted.
West Village Slider from New York Beer Project
Gluten-free roll, portabella mushroom, caramelized onions, goat cheese, arugula and tomato: that’s a sandwich combo for winners. Bread was crumbly as gf bread is, but it tasted REALLY good.
Gluten-Free Rainbow Sherbert Cupcake from Vin-Chet Gluten Free Bakery
Definitely not vegan, but if gluten-free wasn’t in the title, you would NEVER guess. Imho, best dessert at the festival this year!
