If you find yourself near Clarence, NY you’ve gotta try Goodrich Coffee and Tea
While Buffalo is our main stomping ground, sometimes you find yourself in the suburbs. When that happens, you want to know where to stop for an excellent bite to eat. Enter Goodrich Coffee and Tea. This little locally owned coffee shop features their own roasted gourmet coffee and Republic of Tea, but also fruit and protein smoothies. And what’s a Buffalo, NY coffee shop without a bit of food?
Goodrich Coffee and Tea has a decent selection of sandwiches and wraps, including two vegetarian options. There is the Mediterranean Wrap with hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, lettuce, and mozzarella cheese in a whole wheat wrap, however I had to go for the other option.
The Vegetarian had mozzarella cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion smothered in a wonderful tzatziki sauce on top of an amazing focaccia bread. While the raw red onion was certainly heavy and I picked most of it off after taking the picture, the other ingredients were fresh, the focaccia was possibly the best I’ve every had (not too thick, the inside was soft and the crust was toasted perfect in the panini press), and the portion was ideal. The sandwich came with chips that I hardly touched, I was full!
Since it was a late lunch, I was needing a bit of a caffeine boost, so I ordered a large Iced Mocha Latte. The barista made it perfect; those girls running the counter at Goodrich’s were wonderful! Because it was a gorgeous August afternoon, I got to enjoy my perfectly made mocha and Vegetarian sandwich on their outdoor patio.
Goodrich Coffee and Tea is a great little niche restaurant that if I’m out in the area again, and I very will most likely be, I’ll be going back. The food was fresh, the atmosphere is beautiful, and the service was great. Definitely a good spot to land for lunch!
