Looking for a fun fall event to do with your little ones this weekend?
Join us for the 2014 Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech! The walk will take place on Saturday, September 20th at 11:00 am at the Harlem Road Community Center. It will be a relaxing 1-mile neighborhood walk for families and afterwards enjoy the many activities they’ll have happening!
Children’s activities include face painting by Face Paint Amy, balloon animals by Ms. Tooto the clown, a firetruck visit from the Snyder Volunteer fire department, and crafts for the kids. Also, Kelly L Photography will be capturing the day, and prints will be available for purchase in the weeks following the Walk!
Locally famous Paula’s Donuts will be available for breakfast and Franks Gourmet Hotdogs food truck will be around for lunch (donating 10% of all sales to CASANA!).
Donations from the Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Cubs, several local breweries, and many more will be up for silent auction, and The Heritage Band will be there for music entertainment.
This 4th Annual 2014 Western New York Walk for Children with Apraxia is held to fundraise for the Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA). Proceeds go to amazing programs like iPads for children who need it to communicate, parent and speech therapist workshops, and research. Additionally, the funds will support a program to assist families in need with speech therapy costs.
Online registration is closed, but you can still register the day of! Registration begins at 10:00 am and the walk starts promptly at 11.
